A site for my favorite season!

The holidays are just around the corner and you’re no doubt already thinking about Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone wants to sit down to the perfect meal to celebrate all that you are thankful for.

However, some people don’t even know where to start when it comes to planning such a big event. Here are five tips to help you have the best dinner possible

1 – Celebrate with the ones you love. Make sure that your guest list includes people with whom you really enjoy spending time. A good mix of family and friends can make a Thanksgiving dinner a lot of fun.

2 – Pick the perfect decorations. Nothing warms up a celebration more than the right décor. You can look for table linens, placemats, Thanksgiving dishes, glowing candles, and centerpieces that will make everything feel more festive.

You’ll be surprised by how much you can transform a room with the right decorations. If you’re not one who normally knows the first thing about decorating, you may want to purchase premade packs of decorations that are coordinating.

3 – Plan a simple, delicious menu. If you’re not an experienced cook, the thought of cooking a huge meal can be overwhelming. But there are many cookbooks that can help a cook with even the most basic skills to make an outstanding dinner. Don’t try to make an elaborate meal that’s outside your skill level. Stick to what you know you can do.

4 – Ask for help. You don’t have to do everything alone. Ask for help from those who will attend. They can help with cooking and even decorating to make the meal a little bit less hectic for you. You can even ask for help with setting up tables and chairs, making last minute trips to the store and quick clean-up before more guests arrive.

5 – Make memories. When it comes to your Thanksgiving dinner, you’ll want to make sure plan ahead to document the day. Have cameras at the ready to take pictures and consider purchasing Thanksgiving frames to give as a reminder of the special day.

You may even want to create scrapbooks for everyone in attendance. Even if you’re not crafty, there are many digital scrapbooking programs that make putting together a scrapbook a breeze.

When you share your Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends, you don’t have to worry too much about perfection. Focus on the time you’re spending together and try to make fun memories.
