A site for my favorite season!

If you have been wanting to become a morning person, but struggled with it in previous seasons, fall might be the perfect time. You have a renewed sense of purpose and more inspiration during this season to make healthy changes, which can include having a new morning routine that starts a little earlier.

Get Fresh Air First Thing in the Morning

As soon as you wake up in the morning, get fresh air throughout your home. Open up all the windows, open any doors that have screens, and let the fresh air in. This is also a good time to go outside on your porch or patio for a few minutes if possible.

Fresh air can help boost your energy even before you have coffee or tea. Just breathing in that crisp morning air is so energizing and calming. If you have journaling as part of your morning routine, consider bringing it outside to your balcony or patio to write while you enjoy the morning air.

Stay Off Your Phone

Try to get out of the habit of checking your phone first thing in the morning. It can be tempting to see what notifications you missed overnight, but this tends to be too distracting and will get you into a state of stress.

These notifications instantly take you away from your peaceful morning and into a state of stress and anxiety. You start overthinking, and it makes it hard to focus and be productive. To be a morning person, your mornings need to start as calmly as possible.

Enjoy a Hot Cup of Tea

Nourish your body and get some hydration by enjoying tea or hot water with lemon in the morning. Try to stay away from carbonated drinks like soft drinks or energy drinks, and instead have something soothing for your throat. If you need the hydration, drinking a big glass of water first is a great idea.

Set Your Intentions for the Day

As you begin waking up and becoming more alert in the morning, set your intentions. This is similar to creating a to-do list, but it also includes your mindset shifts and how you want to feel throughout the day.

What type of day do you want to have? What is on your to-do list? How can you make today better than yesterday?

Start Getting Ready the Night Before

A very important consideration for becoming a morning person is to get ready the night before. It is very difficult to wake up early and get through your morning routine when nothing is ready or you have gone to sleep too late. This is why creating a soothing night routine before bed at the same time will make your mornings much more efficient.
